The British Cave Rescue Council holds a biannual medical conference where anyone interested in advanced medical practice for cave rescue team members can gather to discuss various topics and attend practical sessions. These medical conferences are a great way to share knowledge and information between cave rescue teams across the country. Mendip Cave Rescue is proud to host the 2026 BCRC medical conference, which will be held over the weekend of 12-14 June 2026 in Priddy Village Hall.

Plans for the weekend are currently nearing completion, with an outline plan shown below.

  • Friday evening: Welcome talk, buffet food available and bar open in Priddy Village Hall
  • Saturday morning: Breakfast in Priddy Village Hall, followed by underground sessions in local caves
  • Saturday afternoon: Lunch in Priddy Village Hall, followed by underground sessions in local caves
  • Saturday evening: Evening meal in Priddy Village Hall, bar open and slide show and film presentation
  • Sunday morning: Breakfast in Priddy Village Hall, followed by various talks and presentations in the village hall
  • Sunday afternoon: Lunch in Priddy Village Hall, followed by closing remarks

Tickets for the weekend are now on sale, priced at £30 for the weekend with a £5 early bird discount available to anyone who purchased a ticket before 12 April 2026. The ticket will cover all sessions (both surface and underground) and all food, but does NOT include any accommodation. MCR have made a provisional booking to reserve bed spaces at a number of local caving huts, so we would encourage attendees to get in touch with one of the following clubs to book their accommodation for the weekend:
